R. Kelly’s Homes Robbed

Police in Fulton County, Georgia, say someone stole the entire contents of his two homes belonging to R. Kelly in the Atlanta area, selling off couches, tables and other items.

ABC affiliate WSB reports that a woman who works for the singer discovered in November that a home Kelly rents in Johns Creek had been cleaned out entirely — from furniture to a diamond-encrusted hoodie.

“She found that the place had literally been ransacked,” said Johns Creek Cpt. Chris Byers.

After the discovery, police searched another of Kelly’s homes in the area and found everything missing there too.

“Many televisions. Furnishings.  We’re talking about couches, chairs, tables,” Byers said.

“There were all kinds of strange vehicles and people coming and going from the house all times during the night,” one neighbor told WSB.

Police say last week they encountered an individual who said he had been hired by the singer to move out the furnishings and sell them because the singer was relocating to Chicago. But, Byers told WSB the man, identified as Alfonso Walker, allegedly was involved in a scheme to sell the items to the highest bidder, room by room.

“They wouldn’t sell an individual item for a certain price, but say a bedroom for $6,000,” Byers said.

Police said Walker was supposed to turn himself in on Tuesday but did not.  He’s facing charges of burglary and theft by deception, among other charges.
